The Winemaker

At Mont Tauch, the art of the winemaker is in crafting multi-faceted wines, which express the amazing diversity of grape varieties, soil types and climatic conditions.

Michel Marty has been the winemaker at Mont Tauch since 1991. He is passionate about his wine and the land it comes from. He is a perfectionist and consistently works to make wines of the best possible quality.

Every year during the harvest, Michel and the Mont Tauch technicians select grapes from the vineyards with the best potential. He enjoys a close working relationship with the growers, who themselves take pride in providing the best grapes from the ideal terroirs.

In this land of rugged beauty, rugby is our winemaker's other obsession. He has been actively involved in the team at Tuchan for several years, first as a player and now as one of the coaching staff, where he shows the same devotion to the task as in his winery.
